The article now clearly states that users can get up to five prompts a day with Gemini 2.5 Pro on a free account, 100 with an AI Pro plan, or 500 with AI Ultra. Free accounts are limited to five Deep Research reports and 100 generated images a day. Upgrading to a Pro or Ultra account will provide 1,000 images. The full breakdown of usage limits can be found in the updated article.
OpenAI comes for Hollywood with Critterz, an AI-powered animated film
OpenAI is partnering with Native Foreign and Vertigo Films to create an animated feature film called Critterz, aiming to demonstrate the potential of generative artificial intelligence in Hollywood. The film, set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2026, is being made using OpenAI's AI tools, including GPT-5. The film is being made on a budget of less than $30 million in just nine months, a fraction of the usual budget for animated features. OpenAI hopes the film will convince Hollywood executives to invest in AI, a challenge as the industry grapples with slow uptake, talent resistance, and intellectual property concerns.
Amazon Music’s new AI feature generates personalized playlists every Monday
Amazon Music is introducing a new feature called "Weekly Vibe" to personalize the listening experience. The feature uses AI to create personalized playlists based on users' recent listening habits and evolving musical moods. It also suggests new music to enhance the discovery experience. Users can find their weekly playlist by selecting "Made for You" in the "Library" section. The playlists focus on specific themes or genres, and can be shared, posted on social media, or saved for future use. The feature builds on Amazon Music's "Maestro" playlist generator, which allows users to enter prompts like mood or emojis to create personalized playlists. The latest AI feature, "Explore," helps users explore their favorite artists by showcasing their best tracks and suggesting other artists.
